Orphanage & hospital manager Anna Freeman has asked Nurse Amy Graham to come & help out at the Amazon hospital. Amy is only too glad to accept. Still reeling from the hurt of finding out about her mother's illegal activities, Amy wants to try & make amends. She is already funding the repairs to the damage the buildings took on her mother's orders, but nursing is her vocation & here she can reach out to hurting people......People like their mystery patient, an amnesiac who turned up on their doorstep a year ago, more dead than alive. A man they have named Juan. A man who keeps being targeted. Someone knows who he is, & that someone doesn't want him to live. When Amy sees the birthmark, she knows immediately who he is: Micah McKnight, her best friend's brother, a man M.I.A. - the man her own mother set up to die! Amy is scared to tell him the truth, afraid he will blame her for her mother's sins. It also means she now can't ask him to help her as she contacts her family within the rebel camp. As Amy makes enquiries about her family, suddenly she also becomes a target. I loved this very fast paced, action filled sequel, also dealing with love & forgiveness. You do need to read "Lethal Deception" first, as it provides a lot of the background & detail for this story, & is where we first meet Amy & find out about Micah. #1 Lethal Deception #3 Holiday Illusion

It's no secret...this is a great book,

The story centers around Amy Graham (Cassidy's best friend from Lethel Deception) and Micah McKnight (Gabe's best friend and fellow SEAL from Lethel Deception). Amy's mother was the villian that set Micah up to be killed along with many other SEALS. He is pulled from an explosion/fire and was in a coma for 11 months. Amy was compelled to return to the jungle and help the orphans as a way to make amends for the awful things her mother had done.While she is helping out there she is also helping "Juan" recover. Juan doesn't remember who he is or anything about his life. They are drawn to each other and soon Amy realizes that it's Micah McKnight who was thought dead. Several attempts are made on his life. Who is trying to kill him and why? How does Amy tell him who he is without also telling him that it was her mother who set him up? Will he hate her once he finds out? This story kept me turning pages. I thoroughly enjoyed the adventure and recommend this to anyone who likes Dee Henderson. You can read it as a stand alone but it's a much fuller story when you read Lethel Deception first. Looking forward to Holiday Illusion! 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful
