I work as a graphic designer for a library with very little money to spend on software. Until we purchased the Adobe suite this programm was all I used.Yes, it isn't in the same league as Photoshop, or Illustrator, but with a little imagination you can make this program do many wonderful things! You can edit photos, and vector clip art. You can make webpages. It comes with all kinds of layout templates, really great stock photos and clip-art. You can manipulate text and use some pretty cool efects on headlines. It even uses some of the keyboard shortcuts found in Photoshop and Illustrator. I now use the Adobe CS suite for the bulk of my design work, but every now and then I go back to printmaster to get that 3-D headline without having to take the time using the more sofisticated software. As for the comment about not knowing how to use Printmaster, use the tips and help menu. There are aslo tutorials that can guide you. Other than that, experiment.

Why is there not more information about what the computer software has to offer? Printmaster 16 Gold...does it enable you to print..... what???????? I may be interested in buying a product if I new what it would do once I installed it.

This is the last PRINT ARTIST brand software that I'll ever buy. This software is VERY buggy. I have to reboot my computer every time that I want to print something (tried this program on Win98, WinME, Win2000 & WinXP Pro)While there are some nice intentions, this software is horrible. Not only does the printing not work, the program freezes frequently and the on-screen view is frequently corrupted- you can't tell what is going to print until you print it! 10 of 10 people found the following review helpful

I would be surprised with a negative review for this software. Print Master has proven to be (for me, my staff, and many colleagues) the most user-friendly, versatile, and comprehensive software package in its market. You can use it for everything from making a cute and simple flyer for a kid's party to elaborate and professional marketing tools such as brochures, invites, etc.

I've been using Printmaster since I got a trial version with my first computer back in 1997. I thought the program was so good, I bought a few more better versions and found them very good to work with. I used them quite a bit.I recently got a new computer and bought this version of Printmaster for it. I am very unhappy with it. It has a lot of bugs and is very annoying to use. Plus Broderbund keeps sending me emails that I don't want. I don't know if I will ever buy another Printmaster version again. I am pretty turned off on the product. |
