Of all the attempts Hollywood has made in interpreting this English folktale, this, to me, is one of the best. Sure, there are inaccuracies for the purist to moan over, but oh does it come closest to bringing it to life. Attention to detail of sets, story line straight and true as an arrow. Good, solid acting generally, and despite a tentative start, it builds to a stunning crescendo. A little too violent for small kids, but then, isn't life in general? A believable and well-executed movie. Highly recommend!
