I admit I'm biased because I watched it as a kid, but you have to love it for it's heart and soul. A great character that hasn't been redone ever!!!
Little John is the greatest and you have to love the Sherriff of Nottingham, seasons 2 and 3 (directed by Ralph Bashki) are better and not so childish. Like the similar (and superior) Spiderman of the 60's, the art is good but the animation is bad, with great overdubbing of music.
I love that you can skip through the little "vignettes" by going to next chapter (man I hated those) and get to the real cartoon.
Not cleaned up or remastered but hey I'm just glad it's on DVD!

This was one of my favorite cartoons, yea the episodes are not remastered, but they are in the same condition as I remember watching them. It adds to the enjoyment before animation had to be perfect. The theme song for the show is one of my favorite tv themes and I find myself singing along :)

Despite several negative reviews, I ordered this set anyway.
I was pleasantly surprised. The quality of most of the episodes is very decent for what look to be mostly 16mm prints. There are several episodes that look outstanding, but most are bright, colorful 16mm transfers.
As noted, episode #6 is missing (a disclaimer about image quality and the missing episode appears on all the discs). While unfortunate, this may be the best we will get and I am willing to accept this release on those terms.
If you're looking for a complete digital overhaul, you'd better wait. If you've wanted this series in a better than average picture quality, buy it. I did and was not disappointed.
Also, I would readily order Volume 2 if it is ever released.

If you watched it then this is a must buy.
An excellent Canadian Cartoon putting the classic Robin Hood into the future. This series is very similar to the 67 Spiderman series.
