About the Author

Né le 21 juillet 1947 en Guinée, Tierno Monénembo s’est exilé en 1969 au Sénégal puis en Côte d’Ivoire avant de gagner la France en 1973, pour poursuivre ses études. Après avoir présenté sa thèse de doctorat de biochimie à Lyon, il est nommé docteur ès sciences. Il est l’auteur de huit romans, tous parus aux Éditions du Seuil, parmi lesquels Les Écailles du ciel (1986), Cinéma (1997), Peuls (2004) et L’Aîné des orphelins (Points, 2005).
