About the Author
Fifi O'Neill is an editor, writer, and photo stylist. She has produced numerous features on home decorating, food, and gardening for American and European magazines, such as Coastal Living, Country Living (USA), Casa Romantica, CasAntica (Italy), and many more. Though she now lives in Florida and her work takes her from coast to coast and across Europe, her heart belongs to the prairie with its enduring aura of romance and nostalgia. The author is based in Florida.

This is the most beautiful book I have ever seen! I wasted no time getting right to it when it arrived today. Knowing the authors style from her stint as editor at Romantic Country magazine, I knew I would not be disappointed. However, even my high expectations were surpassed! I have always loved the "shabby chic" style of comfort, beauty and function but Romantic Prairie Style defines my style perfectly, being a bit more rustic than shabby chic. Fifi O'Neill has done a superb job, nailing it with her "swoon worthy" looks. Thank you Fifi, this book serves as inspiration for tranforming even a humble little house into a home. Love, love. Love it!!!!

This is a beautiful book with lots of great ideas for anyone that is into the shabby chic look. I have a lot of French country decor and this is a perfect compliment to my existing esthetic. And it is a lovely book that looks so chic displayed on my paint chipped bookshelf. Really a great source of ideas for those who find beauty in worn and aged pieces, and objects we can all find in flea markets or in our grandmother's attic.

Romantic Prairie Style by Fifi O'Neill is breathtakingly beautiful. I pre-ordered this book months ago, it arrived yesterday and I haven't been able to take my eyes away from its loveliness and inspiration from cover to cover.It's enchanting with beautiful photography, text and bits of poetry laced throughout and gives me the feel I'm home. I want to pull up a chair and sit for a long while. I love that it wants and cheers me on to cherish items we have at home, vintage & antique items that speak to my very heart and soul. Each home featured is filled with decorating ideas, sentimental history and ease about its beauty from room to room. We're taken not just within homes but gardens, pastures, outdoor living spaces and a magical guest cottage in which not a detail is missed but not over done or over the top. Animal loving hearts (mine included) will adore this book as it shows you can truly have beauty, romance, style and live with animals too. Romantic Prairie Style by Fifi O'Neal, is a breathe of fresh air in the field of decorating books out there. The beautiful photos alone make this book a delight. But, you will love spending many hours reading though the stories that go with the photos. This book takes you into homes filled with simple beauty, gardens that charm and into the lifes of the homeowners who live there. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

A beautifully styled, written and photographed book that I highly recommend for any romantic decorating enthusiast. Romantic Prairie Style by Fifi O'Neill showcases a well selected variety of homes that all seem to have the common thread of being real family homes that are liveable and not too terribly fussy. Vintage pieces with weathered charm and timeworn authenticity are mixed with comfy furnishings that invite you in to each home to stay awhile. Bucolic settings that exude the romance of country living make this city girl yearn for the humble life!
