I am loving this program. I love the way it teaches you the language using only pictures rather than the actual translating from my own language to the one I'm learning. It forces you to think in the new language instead of translating it in your head. Best investment I could have made. I would not hesitate to recommend it to others. Many complain about the price being too high but I say you get what you pay for. This language program is both fun and effective. It works. It is worth every penny in my opinion.

Finished level 1-3! May 19 2014
By Mary G. - Published on
Edition: Filipino (Tagalog)
I have a Filipino boyfriend so I bought this 6 months ago. It was very very easy to learn tagalog within two months I already finished level 1 and 2, with a little help from my boyfriend I easily practiced conversing. I now finished all the levels and I'm a proud user of Rosetta Stone. I just went to the Philippines last month and I proved how fluent I am speaking and understanding the language. It's a very good program! I really love it.

A good supplement July 22 2013

It is helpful through its use of teaching some vocabulary. However, the biggest obstacle for me is that it lacks instruction in language rules. One is expected to infer the rules from examples it uses. I am finding it a very helpful supplement to other tools that actually teach the rules of the language.

So I bought the Rosetta stone Tagolog (Filipino) 1-2-3. I've been making steady progress (and both the wife and mother-in-law compliment me, so I must be doing something right. I'm trying to get fluent by the time we go back to Manilla (January).

Highly overrated! Sept. 9 2015
By Michael - Published on
Edition: Filipino (Tagalog) Verified Purchase
Don't know of another product to teach languages, but this is poorly designed; not intuitive; does not even tell you what you are supposed to do, but gives you "wrong answers" while you are trying to guess how the hell the bloody thing is supposed to work. Microphone does not pick up well if there is ANY background noise; if you have a deep voice, it tells you that you are pronouncing poorly, then if you use the exact same intonation in a higher voice it oozes approval; and, all in all, I could easily design a better learning system.
Unfortunately, I know of no similar product, so I am stuck with it.
OH! Also is very invasive of privacy, as it demands all kinds of information in order to even use it. Why do you need my date of birth, address, phone number, and email for me to learn a bloody language?

Rosetta Stone works as advertised. I purchased Rosetta Stone Filipino and was amazed how easy it was to understand how to use the product. People wishing to learn another language should consider this product. I am very happy with it..
