Awesome for the money March 29 2012

I was looking for a 4+ port Gigabit switch that supports Jumbo Frames. Most of them were in the $50+ range and so I kept looking. I came across this device from Rosewill. Now I have seen their products in lots of places and have read positive reviews but this was my first purchase of Rosewill tech. I thought that it might be too good to be true but it performs flawlessly and is running 24/7. We'll see about the longevity down the road but I am very satisfied with my purchase and I think I will purchase more Rosewill products when they meet the need in the future.

Decent little GB switch at a low price March 8 2013

Had a single gigabit drop to my home theatre PC. Then needed to add 2 or three more devices (stereo receiver, ROKU, etc) and needed more ports. Didn't want to downgrade the HTPC to 100mb/s so bought this switch. No crossover cable needed - it autosensed the source. Everything works, everything is happy - even running Jumbo Frames - no issues. Small, quiet, low power - just what I needed.

Best Budget Priced 8 Port Giga Switch Made - Northern Idaho Networks Dec 23 2012

While looking for a a wireless N adapter card for a desktop PC, I came across this 8 port switch made by Rosewill. So, I decided to give it a try and when I received it, came boxed in a retail box with power supply and instructions. Very well made, yes, it has a hard plastic case but it is so light. Doesn't get hot but only warm unlike other switches made by Netgear or Cisco that they get hot and eventually give out because of the heat they put out. This is a "green" switch, so, it makes it ideal to run on low power if the port isn't being used or if the cable length is short. But believe me when I tell you that this switch out performs those more expensive models, it does what it does. I'll be buying more of these. Great product! I give it 5 stars.

Not much to say here, good solid basic switch that works. I like most of the Rosewill stuff, less expensive while still being quality.

I love it 99% Sept. 15 2012
By Steve - Published on Amazon.com
Pros:

Faster than the D-Link DGS-1008G 8-Port Gigabit Desktop Switch it replaced even though my other switch is the D-Link DGS-1008G which this is connected through. The dlink would start around 140 and drop to 35 this starts around 110 and hovers around 60mbps. I have test with 4 - 4 gig movies. I highly recommended it.

Cons
I dislike the constant in my face flickering (the dlink lights are on top).

Other thoughts:

I purchased a Wireless N router from Rosewill for my parents that replaced an WRT54G (og one) and I have had zero problems with it so I decided to give the company another shot. I will be coming back for other products if Rosewill makes them. I am a sr Desktop Support tech for a realty office fyi. I will add some pics later
