Quality map,
This review is from: Rough Guide Map Croatia 2e (Map)
The map is glossy, of quality. Due to the geography of Croatia, the north is not at the top as usual, a little getting used to needed

This map has no detail on big cities, such as Split or Dubrovnik, which is where most cruise ships visit. Generally, maps will have enlarged areas on the country's famous cities. There were no such enlarged areas on this map. This map is good for those people interested in driving around Croatia. It does show the entire country and it is very clearly printed on a waterproof paper. Unfortunately, without the enlarged areas, this map was useless to us. Very disappointed.

A poorly laid out map, annoying to use,

A very frustrating map to use. North is not "up" which means it is hard to coordinate with maps you see in guide books. One side of the map shows the northern coastline and the other side shows the southern coastline. The coastal areas are rotated at a 45 degree angle to north. The inset for the Zagreb area and eastern part of the country shows north as "up." If you want to travel from Istria to Zagreb or Plitvice Lakes to Zagreb (two very common trips) you must flip from side to side and get used to different north orientations. It lacked a detailed map of Zagreb. Low contrast between background colors and road colors made it a challenge to read. The plastic coated material made it very durable, holding up well over many refoldings.
