Doug was born in Manhattan, grew up in Minnesota, and when he is not on the road his current base is Stockholm, Sweden.

After looking the book over concisly, I found not only nothing new here, but most of the info is common sense. You would be better off buying a better book such as "wilderness 911" by Eric A. Weiss M.D. or anything of that caliber. Also Cody Lundin's books are good.
