3.0 out of 5 stars Rowenta DG5030 Iron Mar 7 2011
By Mani
Refurbished ROWENTA DG5030 Pressure Iron and Steamer was still defective (profuse water leakage), when seller was informed about defective item, exchange or refund was offered and on my request to refund fully, action was prompt.

3.0 out of 5 stars Finally some info! Jan 8 2001
By R. Alvarado - Published on Amazon.com
I just received my T-Fall 1662 Turbo Iron from Amazon today and bought it without any specs listed for this Iron. I gave it 3 stars because I am not sure how long it will last (my sunbeam lasted a year before it conked out). The biggest difference about this Iron that I am some what diappointed with is that it does not have a vertical steam option. The following info is what I pulled off the T-Fall site. It appears to be a older model. All and All it appears to be a decent deal for $21 . Hope this helps... T-FAL Ultraglide Turbo irons are real steam powerhouses. Model 1662 has an adjustable, continuous steam output of 0-20 grams per minute: that's perfect for any fabric! And a burst of steam for 40-50 grams per minute: that's ideal for ultra-tough creases and heavy fabrics! An extra-large steam chamber supports this powerful steam output.

---------------- T-FAL Ultraglide irons deliver top gliding performance. The exclusive Ultraglide soleplate with microholes™ makes ironing fast and easy. Smooth glide cuts ironing time, effort, and fatigue. ---------------

Super-tough Durilim (patented hard ceramic) soleplate resists scratches from zippers and buttons. Soleplate microholes deliver optimum steam efficiency. The soleplate is guaranteed for 10 years! Spray nozzle helps get out tough creases. Variable steam control for a perfect job on any fabric. See-through water tank for easy monitoring. Three-way auto shut-off with pilot light.

Temperature pilot light indicates when the iron is ready. Nine-foot power cord. Anti-scaling valve. What's the big deal about the anti-scaling valve? Most people use tap water for ironing, which leads to scale build-up. The anti-scale valve with T-FAL non-stick coating makes removing that scale easy. The bottom line is that this T-FAL iron works longer and better than irons without the anti-scale-valve feature. Model 1662. 1400 watts. Weighs about 3.5 pounds. One-year mfg. warranty (10 years on soleplate). UL approved.

3.0 out of 5 stars More of a question tha n a review Dec 27 2000
By Mokhtar Kamel - Published on Amazon.com
my wife is wondering what is the reason that this item in particular is so dramatically reduced compared to other T-Fal ultraglide irons, although this model seems in the picture to be as sophisticated. Is there any reason that we should know of so that we opt for another T-Fal model?

thanks
