A truly fantastic find!,

This review is from: Easy LP to MP3 (CD-ROM)
If you are anything like me, you have a vast collection of LP's and cassettes. The problem with trying to convert them to all CD is that it can be expensive. But for less than $100, you get the software and hardware you need to convert your whole music library to mp3 files and/or CD's. The directions are fairly simple and it is rather easy to convert your music to CD. I have read other reviews and some people have complained about the fact that you cannot hear the music while it is recording. I have found an answer to that issue. When you are in the Tag Editor, unplug the USB cord from your computer and you will be able to hear what your music sounds like before you export it to your hard drive. You can adjust the silence between tracks and even clean up the tracks so they sound crystal clear. Just be sure to plug it back in before you hit the export tracks button. Roxio is super and I would recommend it to any music lover who wants to convert their cassettes and LP's to CD.

Just software and a set of cables,

This review is from: Easy LP to MP3 (CD-ROM)
The product sounds OK online, but all it is is cables that end a signal (analog) to the computer, and a software program. The USB converter is not plug and play. If you have any of the little digital recorders (such as a Zoom H2) you can just connect the output from your stereo to it, and get good MP3 or Wave files with out the hassle of the computer ,software installation, recognition of the USB sound cable etc. The manual is impenetrable and of little use. I do not recommend this product

Nothing but frustration...,

I would not recommend this product, nor Roxio 'product support'. I purchased this product and have been unable to install it. I have been back and forth with Roxio, and must have attempted 20 installations, unsuccessfully. Roxio just sends me new instructions for installation (disable this, uninstall that) which are minor variations on the previous set. I am no computer amateur, and I have never experienced such a frustrating and dissatisfying process. There is no live support, just an endless series of Emails. Far too complicated for what seems like a simple program...Unless you're a masochist, stay away.
