I'll begin by admitting that Jenifer Larmore is one of my favourite mezzos, and this CD reinforces my belief. The music on the disc is most unhackneyed, and is the character supposed to me singing is a queen or princess--hence the title. Sound quality is fine. Well worth purchaing.

Luscious Sound! April 7 2009

This is primo artful Larmore! Refined and earthy, lyrical and edgy, tear-jerking and smile-inducing, hard music raised to high art and made to sound easy in this voice, the best mezzo alive. Brava, Jennie!
