Product Description

From Amazon.com

Bob Odenkirk and David Cross, creators and stars of the HBO comedy sketch series Mr. Show, bravely stretch one of that program's premises and characters into a generally successful, feature-length film in Run Ronnie Run! Cross plays Ronnie Dobbs, a trailer-park nitwit whose pranks find him routinely chased by small-town police. When an L.A. television producer (Odenkirk) discovers Ronnie is a favorite and frequent felon on a reality TV show, he signs Dobbs to his own series (Ronnie Dobbs Gets Arrested!) and re-settles him in Beverly Hills. Unprepared for fame, money, and power, Ronnie tries reinventing his life with mixed results. Much of Run Ronnie Run! is funny, though Cross--always a strong performer--is typically better than the material. The film works best as a showcase for sight gags and one-note sketches; among the latter is a great piece involving a self-help guru and a cameo by Jeff Goldblum. --Tom Keogh

Possibly the worst movie I've ever seen... Feb 21 2006
By CanadianMother TOP 100 REVIEWER
Format:DVD
The main character in this movie is so incredibly stupid, annoying and obnoxious that the only thing which could have saved the movie for me would have been if Ronnie had met some kind of gruesome bloody end.

I didn't even crack a smile while watching this movie, and I usually enjoy off-beat and possibly offensive humour...but this movie is just not funny. It's stupid and boring and unoriginal, and as I said the main character is a total loser. I wish I hadn't wasted that hour and a half of my life watching it.

If you're a Mr. Show fan, and you don't see how it could be bad, rent it first. You'll be glad you did, but still sorry you paid the 4 bucks.

Bob and David told you not to buy it July 12 2004
By MAGA
Format:DVD
This is the movie that was not. The movie that was rumored to be great. Then it was rumored dead. Then it was rumored that they might salvage it and release it straight to video. Well, two of those rumors ended up being true. The project did pretty much die. Bob and David sensed it was going down hill. Moreover, the film did find its way to video/DVD. Bob and David had washed their hands of the project completely, actually enocuraging their fans not to buy it. However, Troy Miller was intent on seeing it put out there. Well, if you are a Mr. Show fanatic (and I am), you just can't get enough of them. They are comedic geniuses and the Ronny Dobbs skit was perhaps their greatest skit of all-time (and that is saying something). So, you just can't resist buying it. I bought it! I laughed a couple of times. I thought Odenkirk was wasted and Cross was too tame. I would have liked to have seen other Mr. Show talents used more. What I am trying to say is that it was not that great. OK? I don't want to speak ill of the boys, but you know what I am saying.

My previous review was from my roomate.
White trash is a very cliche thing to laugh about these days, meaning at one point it was funny. Not so much anymore though. A mullet can only get you so many laughs these days. Read more

5 stars cannot possibly do justice for this movie
Mullets, white trash rockers, vomit-eating dogs, southern drawl, 3x1-1 (band.) These are all admirable qualities that make this gigglefest.
