Used daily for just over a year. Unit boils quick and well. Auto-shut off O.K. Cons: Lid does not open upright; makes filling awkward. Plastic hinge that holds lid to the unit has warped and worse, has broken off. Lid design is poor and has resulted in premature product failure. Beware of internal plastic parts.

Bought this thinking it was a great deal, less than 2 months later the auto-switchoff button stopped working. Definitely a fire hazard had I not put so much water in. Amazon only covers it for 30 days and now I'm stuck trying to get the manufacturer (who doesn't even have a Canadian/US website) to uphold their warranty. Not worth the trouble.

Excellent item! Nice shape, heats up really fast. The lid opens and it's very easy to fill water in. The lid closes with an easy click. The handle is plastic and its smooth and easy to hold on. The indicator lights up blue when in heating. Excellent price for excellent item. It's difficult to find a descent stainless steel kettle for less than $50.
