About the Author

Né en 1974 à Nantes, Gérald Guerlais est à la fois illustrateur et designer. Il est diplômé de l'École nationale d'Art Appliqués et a travaillé, entre autres, pour Vivendi Universal Publishing, Excelsior, Bayard Presse, Prisma Press, Futurikon, Alphanim et Xilam Studios. L’idée de Sketchtravel lui est venue en regardant son ami Daisuke Tsutsumi dessiner. Sa femme, Sophie Menu, illustratrice elle aussi, a conçu le site officiel du projet qui informe quotidiennement sur le voyage du carnet à croquis dans le monde. Né au Japon en 1974, Daisuke Tsutsumi est un illustrateur et un artiste d’animation. Il est diplômé de la School of Visual Arts de New York en 1993 et commence à travailler pour la Lucas Learning LTD puis au département d’art visuel du Blue Sky Studios (L’âge de glace 1 et 2, Robots). Depuis juin 2007, il est directeur artistique aux studios Pixar et a notamment participé à Toy Story 3.
