Heavy-Duty Components Meet Military-Grade Needs
The F01T-N's 420 stainless steel head has a 2.75-inch edge and is coated in a scratch-resistant, black oxide coating for reduced reflectivity. The head is mounted to a polymer handle with heavy duty bolts. The handle has as a steel ferrule to prevent splitting, and side hammer checkering ensures precise placement when pounding.

Ergonomic, Lightweight Design Ensures Comfortable Use
Even if your blade is sharp, it's hard to make precise cuts if your axe doesn't fit comfortably in your hand. That's why this axe features a unique, ergonomic handle. Crafted from tough, ballistic polymer, the textured handle is slip-free, durable, and well-balanced. Also, at just 24 ounces, the F01T-N is lightweight and easy to carry, and it comes with a nylon sheath for added safety.

This axe is backed by a one-year warranty that protects against defects in manufacturing and materials.

The Axe head cuts well but looses its edge after about an hour of heavy use. It sharpens easily.
The pick is an excellent digging tool and has the strength to haul up roots, stones, and hardened clay.
The flattened sides can pound home tent pegs and most nails fairly quickly.
Its light and easy to carry and absorbs shock when swung but I will be wrapping it in paracord for better handling.
I have no interest in throwing it.
If it held its edge better it would be a 5 star tool.

This tomohawk is great for splitting wood. The pick was useful to chip up some ice in the recent ice storm that happened in my area. It comes as sharp as a dull knife (which is still very sharp for a hatchet) however the edge does not stay that way for very long. The grip is nearly useless. I used 550 paracord to make the grip on mine better. to get a good grip with this you actually have to hold it closer to the blade. Overall a good tool. This thing has a 10/10 cool factor, especially if you like call of duty or any of those games

Customer service is excellent with amazon that I have experienced...My issue lies with the F01T Tomahawk. When first recieved it was beautiful. However after a couple times of light use, the top of the handle broke down along the bolts holding the head of the axe to the handle. Again, Amazon customer service is excellent thats the only reason I am giving this item 3 stars. Handle not as strong as noted....If lifetime warranty is removed from item do not purchase.

This Tactical Tomahawk from SOG is the older brother of the Fast Hawk which I already own.

I think this Tactical Tomahawk "F01T" is really more suited for the woods and combat situations out there (Military, Survival, CPO).

It is a little bit bigger and taller compared to the Fast Hawk. I primarily use the Fast Hawk for the vehicle (Truck), as it is really light and easily concealable.
Perfect to break/cut through windshield/windows in case of emergency situations (Car Fire/Flooding)!

Now, for the Big Brother, the F01T Tactical Tomahawk... Only by looking at it, you know it was made for THE REAL JOB and designed for tactical/survival people out there...

First, the polymer handle feels really sturdy and grip is tight enough. Weight of the Blade is pretty good too!

I've hit some maple wood (really hard) with the spike and blade and they worked flawlessy! It made a good 2 in. hole with the spike and deep 3-4 in. cuts with the blade...

P.S.: I want to say that Amazon is awesome for SHIPPING... They ship fast and it's always in great shape when it arrive! Seriously, way better than any Ebay or anything like this!

Will definately buy other items on Amazon!

I use this tomahawk for clearing branches and wind/snow fall trees on the trail.
It is the perfect weight and design for the job. It comes very sharp and seems to
hold its edge. . I put a leather thong through the end hole for safety though the hand
grip is excellent even in the rain. Be careful!

Let's put this out there first - I did NOT buy this product to split wood or cut down large trees, I have a couple hickory-handled axes, a eastwing long-handled hatchet and 2 fiskas wood splitting axes (I would recommend those axes for sure - driven over, abused, still going strong with no head detachment issues).

This tool was bought for it's weight, ease of use and the amount of abuse I could put it through. At - 40 degrees, with ice, frozen rock and dirt, this thing got scratched. Scratched, not bent, not broken. The handle is great, (better with a lanyard - easy enough to install), the metal works well, the sheath is good quality. I leave in my truck for winter-road use along with an emergency shovel (has a saw blade as part of the handle) and it comes in very handy for many functions. I will admit, I wasn't sure how practical it was going to be when I opened the box and saw how, ummm, 'compact' it was. I'm sold now, I'd buy it again and would probably buy it for those guys that spend 2 weeks in the bush (or tundra, or mountains...).

Everything is perfect, except the cutting blade of the hawk, have small pitting. It's probably manufacturing defect, so I still put maximum rating for the product and seller

I had to pick up this excellent Tomahawk when I saw it. The simple, efficient design makes it a perfect home-defense weapon, a practical utility tool, and something I liked carrying on my spring walks through bear-country, in case I surprised a cranky, hungry black-bear after a couple months hibernation. It allows you to strike from a safer distance than a fixed-blade tactical, and those few inches could mean the difference between living and getting a bellyful of claws. The light but durable handle and heavier head make for powerful swings, and the blade is more akin to a knife than an ax, very sharp, and best resharpened on a regular basis if it's used frequently. I've been tempted to throw it; it feels like it might work well by limiting the spin, since the heavier head will tend forward, but I'd feel like an idiot if I broke it in the process. Besides, I've never like the notion of throwing away your weapon -- if I tried it on the above-mentioned hypothetical bear and missed, then I'd reeaally feel like an idiot.
