The SOG Seal Team Elite was my first SOG knife and In 1 day SOG had completely earned my trust and respect as a top knife company.
Pros:
Titanium Nitride (TiNi) coating makes the stainless steel even more waterproof
Extreme heat treatment for the blade
Hard water resistant sheath
Exposed tang at the bottom of the blade that makes a useful strike for firesteels or hammer
Ribbed back useful for notching
Ribbed back bites into thumbs well and makes great jimping
Ultra durable Zytel handle
Extremely large cutting surface
Sharp serrations that cut with ease
Weighted perfectly
Cons:
Price, this knife was nearly 2x more expensive than my Kabar
The serrations are a little long
The handle is rough on your hands for normal people, but I love the extra traction
Although I don't know how durable this knife is, I can say that this is a great knife and I'd gladly take it with me to all corners of the earth.

Best Knife, Jan 9 2010
By Griffin Crown - Published on Amazon.com
I've used tons of knives, this one being the best. I tried a ka-bar because of its reputation, but i was dissapointed. It covered with deep rust after one major use. This one i've had for years... I got it before it came out because of a packing mishap. I've directly struck a rock as hard as i could... No damage. You won't be dissapointed and it will last a very long time.

This is the first blade i've ever held in my hand let alone buy that i can shave with. This blade is by far the best ive owned. Its beautifully constructed and i love the weight and feel of the whole blade. I just got mine about 2 hours ago and ive already cut throw the following: Steel wool, iron nails,1/3 of a phone book and last but no least a small glass cup. Well the blade did cut the glass but it didn't go all the way through the base, obviously because its glass. This knife is absolutely god like and from the punishment ive given it in the 2 hrs ive had it,this will last a very long time. I would however recommend the DMT W6E 6-Inch Diamond Whetstone Sharpener, Extra-Fine with Hardwood Box. DO NOT get a decent or OK sharpener. Get this one because its quality and will give your edge a factory finish. Through my research of this blade the whetstone above is what you want to get with a blade made of AUS-8. Which is the type of metal used in this knife. If your not to crazy about this sharpener for what ever reason you can then get this one:Steelex D1070 6000 Grit Japanese Waterstone. Both are excellent quality and is something you NEED for this knife. But overall this knife is absolutely amazing. Definitely 2 thumbs up to SOG.
