Heavy-Duty Components Meet Military-Grade Needs
The F06T-N's 420 stainless steel head has a 2.75-inch edge and is coated in a scratch-resistant, hard-cased black coating for reduced reflectivity. The head is mounted to a polymer handle with heavy duty bolts. The handle has as a steel ferrule to prevent splitting, and side hammer checkering ensures precise placement when pounding.

This Tactical Tomahawk from SOG is a crazy item to own for every survival/tactical people out there...
First, I want to say that this Tomahawk is REALLY light! Also, the polymer handle feels really sturdy and grip is tight.
I've hit some maple wood (really hard) with the spike and blade and they worked flawlessy! Making good 2 inches hole with the spike and deep 3in. cuts with the blade...
I even cut myself on the thumb but the blade was so sharp that it cut precisely, cutting only a thin part of the skin like a scalpel and I was able to put the skin back and hold it. Next morning, it was almost fully healed and back to normal. That tells you how SHARP it is... MEDICAL SCALPEL SHARP!
P.S.: I want to say that Amazon is awesome for SHIPPING... They ship fast and it's always in great shape when it arrive! Seriously, way better than any Ebay or anything like this!

These Tomohawks are amazing! Very durable, light and fun to throw!! Definitely recommend. The Handles are also very strong, when I first saw them I thought otherwise.. They proved me wrong after being hit a number of times with other axes while throwing. The Head is quite durable as well, edge comes sharpened and the point on the but is blunt but still sinks into wood quite well, can be sharpened for sure!

It is much smaller then you think it is, even if you know it's small, it will make you laugh when you take it out of the box. That being said, I bought it to have as a light weight day pack axe, and while I have not tried it out in such a way, it is an absolute blast to throw. I've never thrown an axe before and now it's all I want to do. From unscientific tests in the back yard, it is not the greatest as an actual axe due to it being so light, but I have not sharpened it yet, to busy throwing it around the yard. I would get the bigger version to use to chop wood, and buy this for fun, because, lets be honest. Throwing an axe is pretty freaking sweet. Plus it's only $26.
