From School Library Journal
Grade 5-8-- In the second book in the series, the teen band goes on tour. After several weeks of playing small town gigs, obeying their manager's rules, posing for photo opportunities, and bickering incessantly, the Rock `N' Rebels realize that the lives of aspiring musicians are not always glamorous. The highlight of the tour comes when they work together to rescue their adopted mutt from the pound. Lack of plot and characterization, little action, and the tedious ``Bart Simpson'' style dialogue will make it hard for most teens to stick to this one. While the concept has potential for attracting reluctant readers, it is not well executed. Music fans will be more satisfied by Kennedy's Hey Didi Darling (Bantam, 1989). --Jennifer Kraar, formerly at St. Joseph's Univ . , Philadelphia
