The BIP comes well-packaged. The instruction manual states to put in the install disk, though none were included in my package. However, I downloaded the 64-bit drivers from the Saitek website without issues. The BIP comes with 24 buttons pre-loaded into the face of the panel, with an extra 27 buttons in a separate box. Simply pull off the faceplace and insert the buttons you want, in whatever order you choose. The BIP had an easy drag-n-drop user interface where you can change out the order and position of the buttons on-screen to match where you placed the buttons on the actual panel. Once you have the panel on-screen matching the panel on your desk, you simply close-out the on-screen interface and fly. I've only had the BIP for a few days, but it works fabulously. It's nice to have a glaring warning light in your face so you never forget that you're landing without your gear down, or when your fuel is low, etc. This just adds another element of realism to your home cockpit.

OK, for regular desktop flight simmers or those of us who have home cockpits this is a very nice addition. I have 9 Saitek products in a "budget" built home cockpit and have had great luck with all, the BIP is no exception. (2 yokes, 2 throttle quads connected, 2 rudder pedals, 2 radio modules and now the BIP) Hopefully a third radio soon. :-) Right now I will run Com1,XPDR and dual Nav's on the twin radios.Well built and well packaged, it was easy to set up for my system. The only issue was the face panel was held on magnetically which the manual did say.. I was a little chicken to keep pulling on it for fear of breaking it. It does come off as described. Just took me a minute to work up the nerve and "roll it" off from the bottom. The lenses were ultra easy to change and I set it up in a logical way for my twin turboprop layout.
Connection to the computer was a snap. Go to the Saitek site and download the latest BIP drivers and setup software. Follow the bouncing ball...Easy enough. Run the program as administrator (Win 7) and then "drag and drop" the "virtual" pics on the setup screen. Very very easy to do.
Lights are perfectly lit as far as brightness goes and the look and functionality is great. The setup allows for "profiles" which would be handy for those who fly fixed wing and rotors.
First flight was exciting as I tested all of the functions and their corresponding information lights. 100% as advertised...wow
A very cool product that I highly recommend to simmers of all types. Price? Seems high until you see the quality of workmanship that went into this. It is very high quality and a much needed addition for serious simmers. Thanks again Saitek for a great addition to your fleet!

You receive the Panel in a very good package that cannot get the panel damaged in route. Full instructions and a small cd gets it functioning in minutes. Programing the display titles is very easy and you choose from three colors, red, yellow and green. Installation is just plugging it to one of your usb ports. It works like a charm, notifying every stage of your flight as well as radios, landing gear and whatever you choose to be notified about. Once you use this panel you will never be without it. My cockpit is much better now. Do not hesitate to get one even though it is a little bit high on price.
