I love tool. their songs are the best I ever heard in 10 years. the should be awarded for a grammy. my favorite song is the eulogy, H, and third eye. these guys are better than anything outthere in the world. keep an eye for these guys in the future. their next album is going to be better.

"Salival" is delicate. The package is put together with wonderful attention to detail and boasts some of the most amazing and beautiful artwork to ever grace the sleeve of a music product.
The songs on the CD are all fantastic - The live performances have a quality that surpasses the majority of live recordings I've heard, and the songs themselves are not the run-of-the-mill popular singles - "Pushit" is sung with true compassion and "Third Eye" opens the CD with a resounding mantra. "No Quarter" is a great song, and it is nice to finally have a decent quality recording of it on CD. "L.A.M.C." and "Harry Manback 2" are both interesting fillers in the style of the ones found on "Aenima". The hidden song is also excellent. The length of the CD, clocking in well over an hour, means you don't feel ripped off in any way.
The videos are in true Tool fashion, and anyone who has seen them knows how good they are. Using lots of puppets and morbid sets the videos compliment the songs perfectly. My favourite has to be the video for "Sober", with it's dark, macabre feel.
"Salival" is fantastic. Comfortable, but vulnerable, and fantastic.

The tool salival dvd and cd are excellent the quality of the sound (5.1 dolby) and the images are superb. The cd contains five live tracks and three unreleased studio songs one of which is a cover of Led Zeps No Quarter with King Buzzo of the melvins on guitar. All of their videos are contained on the dvd including one bonus. The packaging is amazing. Now one problem they have discontinued making them because some of the boxes are missing the dvd! Also there appears to be a problem with the vhs version although I haven't verified this. Grab it while you can because it won't be rereleased until Febuary. I give it 3 stars because of the unavailability otherwise 5 stars !

Everybody knows that anything Maynard touches is gold, and that Salival is spectacular as are all Tool releases, but I cannot believe that some sellers have the audacity to ask for $160-$260 for this box set. I've never even paid $160 for Tool tickets, let alone a used box set of theirs. You're much better off trying your luck at Best Buy or a local used cd store, and I know for a fact that Barnes & Noble carries this box set in their stores for no more than $40 (I used to work there and sell this quite often!) I just had to share that with fellow Maynardologists, do not get sucked into buying this box set at such a ridiculous price!!

I would consider myself a pretty big Tool fan, I own all there albums and I've seen them live in concert and I must say they are one of the best bands in the world. Thinking that because Salival is no longer sold that I should jump at the chance to get my hands on it, but I was wrong. The CD includes 8 tracks that I personally do not find worth the price, and the DVD has 5 videos, witch I will say I enjoyed, but it is just not worth the price, you pay so much and get so little.

I was very impressed by this album. The price is higher due to its rarity. The flow of music is very strict and different of a typical tool album. The DVD is a bonus. If you are a true fan of tool, (most say they are but are not), you would agree that the "Third Eye" version of Salival is absolutely mind blowing. If any of you seen them live, and seen this song live, you would know what I'm talking about. Anyway, ciao for now tool freaks.

This is what all Tool fans waited for - collection of their controversial and mostly banned videos...as we all know that tool like's to disturb their listeners and watchers their Videoclips are far from standards.videos like "Prison sex" or "sober" are really creepy and sometimes dissgusting...
really - a must have for every tool fan and a metal fan...
and there is a bonus CD - very interesting collection of Rare songs...there's a stunning performance of epic suite "Third eye" (sounding not much different from original, but still it is great),a different mix of "message to harry manback", rare live track "You lied" and many more....the hidden track "Lame" shows shows more calm face of the band - whole song sounds a bit like Led Zeppelin of 21 century...but the ending shows who really plays it.....
switch the dvd or cd on and float into the dark world of Tool...
