Wonderful Shabbat book for preschoolers,
By Paige (Skokie, IL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sammy Spider's First Shabbat (Paperback)
This book introduces young children to Shabbat as a young spider and his mother watch a family prepare for Shabbat. The colors are bright and vivid and the text is clear and easily accessible to young children. Concepts introduced include sunrise-sunset,shabbat preparation and family togetherness. Don't miss the challah recipe on the last page.

Perfect for teaching your young one about Shabbat! My little boy adores Sammy Spider and his challah weaving ways. Colorful and engaging, with a decent challah recipe in the back.

My class loves to hear about Sammy the spider and they like to see how he is not allowed to do things like the family who is celebrating the holiday but in the end Sammy finds a way to celebrate.Great book. I have the whole series. Just love it.
