Sexy second Mac monitor. Thin, crisp and sharp! Sept. 9 2010
By Navarro Parker - Published on
This is one thin sexy monitor! The super slim LED panel delivers a bright picture with crisp text. Two HDMI ports, VGA port, and analog audio out port make it a nice HD set for game consoles and Blu-Rays too (or three computers!). Base is stiff, but does tilt up and down after applying considerable force. It also features a slim AC power brick. It's one of the few 22" class monitors that provides full 1920x1080 in computer monitor mode. It ships with both VGA and an HDMI-to-DVI cable. (You'll need to pick up a MiniDisplayPort-to-DVI adaptor to use on modern Macs)

On the downside, Samsung's Magic Mode features are more marketing hype than anything. You must choose between MagicAngle, MagicBright, MagicEco, or MagicColor. Whatever feature is active cancels out the others. MagicColor, MagicBright, and Dynamic Contrast are best turned off as they produce garish overly boosted colors and crushed blacks. Lastly, the price is a little steep compared to traditional CCFL monitors.

Great Features! Not Ready for Windows 7 64 bit!! April 23 2011

The SyncMaster BX2350 is over all a Great Monitor system the "Magic Tune Premium" allows for on screen adjustment rather that using the touch controls. Another great feature is the "Magic Viewer" allows for clear viewing from any angle i.e. side, standing or group. There is also a slight stand tilt adjustment. This has an improved power input that the 21" doesn't possess it has a strain relief shoulder a big + since I had to return the BX2321 because of power cut out.
All Great Features!
Back Panel: Inputs 2 x HDMI 1 VGA (labeled RGB)Low Voltage. Output 1 x 1/8" Audio Out.
Cables Included: 1 DVI to HDMI 1 VGA to VGA.

Cons: Windows 7 64 bit only works with the VGA cable to get 1920 x 1080 I first tried the DVI to HDMI (recommended by Samsung Tech)Then I purchased HDMI to HDMI 6' still I got 1280 x 1024 resolution. The online driver says windows 7 64 bit! I'm having the resolution problem and a lot of the Magic Controller controls give errors saying... Well some of the items said "Not Available" I just clicked on the desktop icon and the program will not open.

Even With ALL of the problem I would buy the same monitor again if the driver worked I'd give it the 5*'s. They'll eventually get the driver fixed Samsung know about it and is working on it. No other monitor that I've seen has the color and angle that this one dose on RGB / VGA when the driver is fixed HDMI Digital Blue Ray and 3-D ready WoW.
Hope this helps out if so please rate it for others to see. I wish I'd had this information when I was doing my 3 day search for the 21" replacement.Samsung BX2350 23-Inch High Performance LCD Monitor with LED Backlight - TOC Grey

Beautiful Monitor April 18 2011

This is a beautiful monitor with a great design. I love the slim LED case and the chrome plated base. The monitor itself is bright, sharp, simply amazing. It works great with my Macbook Pro. I just plugged it in and it immediately switched to the right input. I was originally thinking of getting the Samsung PX2370, but after seeing it in a store, it looked rather cheap and plastic, plus the base was somewhat unstable. This base is much more stable; this monitor does not flop around if you bump the desk. I don't notice the backlight clouding issue which was mentioned in the CNET review.

The only downside is the layout of the touch sensitive menu controls - which are difficult to use without touching the wrong button, but I don't plan on making repeated adjustments. Also, a DVI port would be nice, but the HDMI works just fine with a Mac Mini Display Port adapter.

Really makes the space look professional. Honestly one of the best looking monitors I've seen. Not only the chrome base but the faux-wood grained black plastic on the back.

I bought this after extensive research for purposes in professional graphic design and photography.

It does have a lot of little tweaks with MagicTune, magicthis, magicthat...

Size is big enough to allow dual applications. Oh if I had two of these monitors I'd be in heaven.

Touch screen buttons at bottom right are slightly annoying in that you can't SEE them. But the good news is they do work under the lip and on the face (took me 2 years to figure that last part out).
