I looked around at a bunch of different TVs. My requirements were something with high res (1080p), and something that had 3 inputs to hook up my satellite, Mac, VCR, Chromecast. Samsung was the closest with these requirements.
We can over analyze and nitpick a sub-$200 purchase till the cows come home. I was initially turned off by some critical reviews here so decided to get it from Costco locally just in case TV did not function properly. After hooking up, I am truly amazed and satisfied with it. I honestly cannot find any major flaws .... the sound is really quite good for its size, speakers.
I mean the unit has tons and tons of adjustments which actually can be good to try out, but not required. Over the air tuner is quite sensitive (if you hook up a reasonable antenna, I got a cheap RadioShack Antenna: [RCA ANT121]).
I also hooked up my MAC mini on HDMI1(DVI) - I am quite impressed with this as a PC display (I tried HDMI2 and it was not very clear, switching to HDMI1 helped tremendously). Overall quite satisfied, you can't go wrong with this TV. In essence, you get a LOT for the price.
