I debated whether or not this book was worth 3 stars or 4 stars, I ended up choosing 4 stars. I really loved this book! The story stayed with me long after I finished reading, I couldn't stop thinking about it. I generally don't like these forbidden romance stories, but i guess i was in the mood. so here's the plot, don't worry i won't spoil it for you:
Rose, a naive, eighteen-year-old bride, finds herself headed to Arabia with her husband Geoffrey. She is full of hope of her new life in Aden. In Aden, she makes new friends, including Hassan, the Emir of Jehal, who is handsome, kind, exotic and passionate. When Rose learns the truth about her husband, and the real reason her married her, she turns to Hassan. And of course they fall madly in love. But with the threat of war, they must eventually make a decision that will effect their lives forever.
This book wasn't like most romance stories, it wasn't only about the sex. Issues such as the British control over Arabia often comes up. This was a fantastic story surrounding an extremely likeable character.
