I had been searching for a book that explained the real Santa for my boys. The ones I found were very wordy and dull. Not really an attention holder for a 4 and 5 year old. This book was a hit! The art work captured them both. While the book is informative and kind of wordy for the age group, the story will hold their attention. Not many kids get to go for a ride with a guaridan angel or sit on the rooftop with Santa. I skipped over the parts about Santa living in heaven not the North Pole. While it is the truth...I am not ready to let go of the magic of the north pole and elf made toys. I did arm my boys with enough historical information they are able to battle off grinchy kindergarteners who steal their joy by telling them there is no Santa. They just tell me those people have black hearts and need to fill it up with Jesus. I agree and am so hapPy to have found this book!
What about more Saint books? Pope John Paul II, Mother Theresa, Padre Pio, or St. philomena?
