The BEST of the Best!, Oct 21 2002

This is a GREAT book! Continuing the Mara/Tajarez saga Constance outdoes herself! I never tire of re-reading this book! The book picks up a few years after where Savage Desire leaves off. Mara; the queen of the Lagonda tribe, a beautiful white woman who is revered by all. Tajarez, the most fantastic native american male character ever created, is her king. Mara is sent off to visit her brother in St. Louis when disaster strikes! Tajarez must find his one and only true love...no matter what! Wolves, trappers, hostile tribes, illness...no one will get in his way. He will find his "beloved" Mara. You can almost hear the cold wind blow against your teepee tent and feel the soft fur rugs underneath you! You will LOVE this book! Only one problem: You find yourself at the end wishing you could beg Constance to write a third book of the Mara/Tajarez love story. The best historical romance ever!!

I'm not sure what it was about these characters that grabbed me but I read this book many years ago and I loved it. I read it again every now and then just because I know it's such a great story.
I have searched many books since this one in the hopes of finding characters and a storyline I would enjoy as much as Mara & Tajarez but I never have.
Great story. Fantastic characters. Please make this available on Kindle! I've read my paperbacks so many times they are looking a little ragged LOL!

I read this book many years ago and I just recently found it in a box of my old books and read it again. Mara and Tajarez are true love on paper! This book was written over 25 years ago and I think it could hold it's own with any of today's best selling romance.
I actually didn't know there was more than one book in the series so now I have set the task of finding the other book so I can read it. It will become a favorite as well I'm sure if it's even half as good as this one.
