5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent!, July 23 2006
This review is from: Saving Face (DVD)
This was an excellent movie. Full of comedy, wit, love and so much more! I find the chemistry between Michelle Krusiec and Lynn Chen was very strong. Their relationship to me was very heart-warming and although it was sort of a fairytale ending it was still a great movie. Congrats to Alice Wu!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Bull's Eye, Feb 22 2006
This review is from: Saving Face (DVD)
Buy the DVD. You would want to watch it over and over. I particulary like the Sundance Diary in the Special Feature part. The movie is very witty, funny but deep. It will make you think after watching. The movie hit me right at the center of my heart like a bull's eye. Very good acting by Michelle Krusiec, Lynn Chen and Joan Chen. Congrats to Alice Wu!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great story!, Oct 29 2005

While this movie is a great depiction of the Chinese culture, it is more related to the story of breaking tradition and the strong undercurrent of love. It is about breaking barriers, and ultimately, finding out what makes you happy in the end. I find that the actors/actresses gave a very believable performance as both North American Chinese, as well as lovers locked in a difficult situation. Needless to say, my heart ached with Vivian. Watch this movie. Rent it at the minimal. Also great to have in your personal collection.
