This is good church choir music. The kind that prevails throughout the North American evangelistic culture. I find it such a pity that black people, who gave birth to pure perfect gospel music, have allowed themselves to be corralled and controlled by white standards and traditions. The pieces, the stiffness and the uniforms are so not true to black culture. If you're a white traditionalist you'll be pleased. It's not vibrant and it does not contain that spark, that flame of hope and that energy that only black people can bring us in their innocence and discovery that there is a creator and there is hope for an exciting tomorrow in spite of today's heavy burdens. Incidentally, I'm white!

Inspirational Feb. 1 2008

The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir is back with it's latest offering, "I'll Say Yes". TBT is still doing what it does best. That is giving us messages from the heart that inspire us to press on and not to grow weary of doing good. Put God first and then everything else will fall into line. The TBT choir does not "perform" but rather, it ministers to those who need to be encouraged during these days of trials and tribulations. On this album you will find sweet ballads and soul stirring anthems to lift your spirit. I never lost my praise is the track that comes to mind. It speaks of giving God the praise even in the dark times because He always comes through for you. It encourages you to not let the world steal your joy and rob you of the praises that you should offer up daily. I believe you will be truly blessed by this album and I encourage you to purchase additional copies for those who would benefit from a spiritual lift. Enjoy!

Fantastic Album from Brooklyn Tabernacle!!! A Must Have. Feb. 21 2008

Where do I start? I want to thank the Lord for the leadership of Brooklyn Tabernacle because it is obvious from this album, that it is the Lord inspiring this choir. They have come out with another fantastic album that is written by God; no one else could write these songs. Although a couple of the songs belong to other artists "I Never Lost My Praise (by Tramaine Hawkins and Hallelujah You're Worthy (by Judith MacAllister). This is a great album that you will keep playing over and over again.

This CD would lead you right to the throne, it filled with genuine worship and praise. Songs like "I Adore and I Say Yes," lead me to the inner room.

I enjoy the music of the BTC very much and over the tears there are songs by them that I listen to over & over such as " So You Would Know', "My Life Is In Your Hands", and "I Made It". In my opinion this CD does not capture the unique style of the BTC. It is very ordinary.
