About the Artist
Comprised of brothers Matt and Beau Humphreys, this Timmins, Ontario grown duo was formed in May of 1998 and continues to roar it's way into venues across Canada. After a move that brought the brothers to southern Ontario, Urban Folk emerged as one of the dominant Irish Pub acts, performing over 80 shows annually.
With Matt on Guitar and Beau on percussion and keys,this duo's rich vocal harmonies and focus on audience interaction along with an energy that reaches out and grabs at you makes for a distinctly modern twist on their traditional repertoire.

What a treat to listen to two talented musicians who know what quality music and entertainment is all about! Urban Folk, comprised of brothers Matt & Beau Humphreys, are taking Canada by storm and their first CD, SCARLET GROUND, will reveal the many musical reasons for all the excitment. These two young artists display enormous energy and talent and composer Matt Humphreys has contributed several selections on this CD that deserve airplay on all the radio stations.
If you are a fan of Celtic and/or Folk music, you should buy this wonderful CD today!! The vocal harmonies are an absolute treat...quality like this should not be ignored!
