Neither one trusted the other to tell them their innermost secrets. There were tons of misunderstandings going on as well. Add in Damien's best friend, Tony, who was a truly remarkable man, and Damien's ex-mistress Helene, who liked to stir things up, and the true villian, Jewel's cousin, Clarence, and you've got quite the mess. Neither Damien nor Jewel were favorites of mine. They were too stubborn and too arrogant to take a chance on making their relationship really work although they tried repeatedly. |
