3.0 out of 5 stars Great, but lacking the original art. Feb 27 2013
By Jeff
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I bought this box set in hopes of reliving the terror of my childhood, but when I started leafing through them, I noticed the art has all been redone. The original ultra-creepy artwork has been replaced with somewhat watered-down, more kid-friendly pictures. The original books featured artwork that would induce nightmares all by itself. The stories are all there, and all great. But the exclusion of the original artwork is a major downside.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Aug 7 2009
Format:Paperback
I used to read these books when I was a kid. They were my favourite scary stories. I just had to buy them. When my son is old enough i will let him read them. Now that I am older they are more funny than scary, but i remember how scared i was as a child reading them. Great memories!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Still Terrified July 27 2006
Format:Audio Cassette
I can remember reading these books when I was a little girl about 7 or 8. I forgot all about them until recently when I bought them again just for giggles. Little did I know that they would still terrify me! Ugh, the pictures alone still make me want to sleep with my lights on. The stories are wonderful and original-not like the powderpuff ghost stories kids read these days. I wouldnt advise reading it to any child under 8 though.
