Scent of a Killer [Kindle Edition]

As the first person to leave a review of this book, I have to say it's one of the very best I've ever read-Scent of a Killer is a very fast moving, action-packed story of a really evil, horrid serial killer, who kills in a cruel and gruesome way-living autopsies, no less. I found myself literally cringing, imagining how ghastly that would be.The main detective assigned to catch the killer has her own personal issues to deal with, as well as trying to prevent any more killings, and this makes for an interesting read, with no boring bits. There were a few parts that were quite difficult to read,as in gruesome and nasty, but they weren't gratuitous in any way-they blended into the storyline really well and if they hadn't been there, the story wouldn't have had quite the same impact.
There was a twist towards the end when the killer was revealed, which I didn't see coming, but even when you think the story's all wrapped up, there's more still to come, and it made the story even better. At the very end, even though it seemed like it was all wrapped up neatly, the author left it so the reader is left thinking "ooh-what could happen next?". I cannot think of anything I didn't like about this book-it literally flew along from page to page and I couldn't stop reading.Absolutely fantastic.
