HASH(0x9d11475c) out of 5 stars I wish I could say something nice about this recording, but. . . Aug. 26 2008

Semele is one of my favorite Handelian works. It is a true masterpiece. This recording, however is simply wretched. The soloists are mediocre, and the chorus sounds muddy. Why on earth did they record this performance? I only wish someone had warned me how poorly performed this was so I could have saved my money for something else. I can't imagine anyone being satisfied with this recording.
