All the Smurfs that's fit to print Dec 25 2011
By Vic George 2K6 - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Board book
"The Reporter Smurf", which is this story's English title translation, is another fun story to read from Studio Peyo and also worthy of a Papercutz English translation. In this story, the title character brings forth the Smurf Village's first newspaper with the help of Handy Smurf's printing press, all with the purpose of making sure his fellow Smurfs get the real true story with all the facts straight. However, with the power of the press, Reporter eventually oversteps his boundaries when it comes to reporting Smurfette's private matters, ultimately making the insinuation that Chef Smurf is Smurfette's secret love. When the Smurfs decide they would no longer support Reporter making Smurfette's private life public information, he turns to investigating Gargamel's secret plans for the Smurfs, and winds up misleading the Smurfs into a trap that the evil wizard has set up for them. The story's humorous endgame shows how you can't always believe what you hear even when such information is coming from a "reliable source".
