Great, but an update would be better

This is a wonderful reference for first edition identification and especially for paperback originals. There is also a very handy pseudonym index at the beginning (Lester Del Rey wrote under about half of them). The only downside is that Currey has not published an update. It's a tall task, so I don't blame him. However, modern stars such as Tim Powers, Dan Simmons, and Greg Bear are missing simply due to the publication date. Serious dealers and collectors should have this data. The good news is that you can obtain a cd-rom of this data directly from Currey and save yourself over one hundred dollars.

The Ultimate in Science Fiction Reference Material

Though this book only brings us up to 1979, it is the ultimate reference for determining true first editions by Science Fiction's finest. As with the previous reviewer, I'd love to see this book updated.
