This text by Halstead and Rozema contains extensive documentation on the scientific basis for EDTA chelation therapy. It is very detailed. I found the presentation somewhat repetitive and "dense", not really suited for the casual reader. As with any textbook, to understand in depth the material presented would require considerable study. Dr. Halstead is one of the original, and most brilliant, researchers and practitioners in this area of chelation therapy; he brings to this edition a wealth of knowledge and experience which will be invaluable for years to come. Dr. Rozema's practicality and extensive experience make the material useful and accessible to those who are interested. This book is mainly for the serious student and practitioner, though anyone with an interest in this field would be benefitted. I am not aware of any better overall treatise on the subject.

A superb book that clearly presents the scientific basis of I.V. chelation and its functions within the human body. This book is very well written and appeals to medical professionals and informed consumers as well. The toxic effect of heavy metals in the body and the case for the need for chelation for heavy metal removal is also well presented. Dr. Rozema is a leading expert on heavy metal toxicity and chelation and recently was a key consultant to a major N.I.H. study on chelation.
