Product Description

Book Description

Self-styled "holy warriors" Abu Beka and his followers struck when and where they wanted, taking hostages and killing in an almost mystical frenzy. The free world's only recourse was to beat them at their own game--and for the U.S. and Russia to team up in the supreme test of glasnost.

5.0 out of 5 stars NOT JUST TERRIFIC, PROPHETIC, July 10 2010
By Howard Glaeser III - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Scorpions Dance (Mass Market Paperback)
Warren Murphy's not just a terrific writer, he's a prophet, as you can tell by reading his novel "Scorpion's Dance." It was published 20 years ago BUT with its devastating look at terrorism, it still reads as if it were ripped out of today's headlines. Exciting adventure with the author's trademark humor, this book will be liked by everybody....except those poor souls who prefer their novels with a large helping of political correctness and artificial sweetener.

4.0 out of 5 stars I liked it, July 7 2010
By T. Engle "toni" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Scorpions Dance (Mass Market Paperback)
I bought the book when it came out in 1990 and liked it--but Murphy never writes a book I don't like--or hasn't yet and I've read them all since the early 70s--I love his wit and ironic view of the world and its inhabitants

5.0 out of 5 stars A Really Great Read., July 10 2010
By CJ Daly - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Scorpions Dance (Mass Market Paperback)
I read this book a few years back and LOVED it. I was cruising through Amazon and came across it offered as collectible and was surprisd to see a bad review on it. It was exciting and felt like it had good insight into the terrorist mindset. I read it very quickly, on a vacation. And I'm a slow reader so that says a lot. Couldn't put it downas I recall. Don't hesitate to buy this one. It's great!
