iPhone 4 Compatibility Marginal

After researching several extended batteries for the iPhone 4, I chose this one because Scosche listed it as compatible on their website. While it does in fact charge the iPhone 4, it does not come close to matching Scoshe's claim's. On successive trials, it was only able to increase the charge of the iPhone's battery a little over 40%, not even close to the "complete" charge Scosche claims. Additionally, the design is lacking, requiring a separate charging cable utilizing a mini-usb connector, instead of the iPhone connector for charging, meaning one has to carry a second cable to charge it. The battery also utilizes a series of bright LEDs to provide status, which are distractingly bright. The Scosche logo is also illuminated, providing power to yet another LED. I would prefer it if those milliamps were put into serving the purpose of this device, charging my iPhone's battery, not advertising a company I will never purchase from again.

This fit perfect for my needs of a little extra juice at conventions and tradeshows. However, i was dissapointed after using it. I'm not usually a complainer but this is way off from it's description. It only charges to about 40% (iphone 4) and now after 2 uses it wont hold a charge anymore. The unit seems to have died. My advice is to grab something more reliable. I give it 2 stars for being a good size thats it.

This charger is very small and requires no additional cables for charging the iPhone and thus is very portable. If you are somebody who needs to add additional battery power every day then don't buy this, but if you are like me and you need extra power once a while it is perfect. It provides about half of the power that states in the website but it is more than enought for what I need.
