Top Customer Reviews

This book provided an interesting insight into the Scottish influence in the west, told sometimes in storybook fashion, but still informative and entertaining. Author also provides good references and other suggested readings that are helpful. I would highly recommend this reading especially for those who want to explore Scottish heritage outside of Scotland.

HASH(0x9b38dc9c) out of 5 stars Scots in the N. American West Jan. 9 2015

Book arrived within 15 days of ordering it. It came as described. This book informs of when the Scots came to N. America from 1790 to 1917. It only covers the famous Scots and families, however every now and again you see other Scot names that were not so famous mentioned in the book. I am hoping that a friend of mine can find a few of his family members when he reads this book.
