i have been looking for something i can do daily,

i have tons of dvd's but at my weight and fitness level to attempt them daily leaves me on the edge of exhaustion.i do believe i have finally found something that i can do daily. it might not help me lose weight but it will help me build up my energy and strengthen my muscles so i can do the dvd's that DO help me lose weight.it is very repetitive so if you like change constantly in your fitness dvd's you might not like this. you are first shown the moves and then you do them in a flow. the only complaint i have is that the music, while nice, tends to drown out his instructions the further you get into the dvd.he explains the moves clearly when you can hear them over the music.i have read alot of people say his posture is bad. i don't know if it is or not but it is something you can easily fix for yourself. also i read alot of people whining about how it's not true tai chi. my response is i don't care! i have read the reviews for those "Traditional" tai chi dvd's and the majority of them who are true beginners say the same thing "i can't follow the moves". that's why i went with this one. it's broken down in a way that is completely understandable and easy to follow for people like me who have no background in it and have no place to go where they live. it might not be traditional but it is do-able and it gets you moving which if you are out of shape and obese is something you have a hard time doing. a fat person who has not exercised in years or ever CANNOT just jump into some huge cardio routine despite what people(majority of them skinny) keep telling them.in my experience i couldn't handle it, i injured myself and it tired me out to the point i quit.A dvd like this is a great way to slowly ease yourself into a routine that will build up your your muscles and your energy so you CAN do those cardio exercises everybody keeps saying you must do. i am saving up to buy the tai chi for weight loss which is a faster version for later.

Scott teaches with a slow pace, that makes it easy to learn the motions. I am in my 60's and have gained balance and I am more limber than have been in years. Tai chi is very relaxing, but is a workout for the whole body. My wife and I do the program everyday when first arising, and have energy boost for the day.

I bought this DVD because I always though Tai Chi looked so calming. I really didn't think I possessed the grace and/or coordination to do it well. Scott Cole makes it almost easy--even for us klutzes! I have to admit, the first time or two I had a little trouble keeping up, but just keep doing it! Makes you feel great!

Checked this out at the Library and liked it enough to own it! Scott Cole is exceptional at making the complex art of Tai Chi very simple for beginners....avoiding intimidation and intellectualizing. Watching this video makes you jump right up and start doing the moves! You are doing Tai Chi within 5 minutes and enjoying it :)
