Like most cristics, I had doubts about this album. I have been a fan of Soundgarden and Audioslave, and when I heard Chris Cornell was doing this album with Timbaland, I didnt know what to think but I decided to give it a try. Off the record, Chris has said that this album wasnt made for the fans, but for himself. Considering all the crap on the radio, this album actually has catchy tunes. It took me a few listens before I really got into it, and now Id rather listen to this than most albums of late. I have always been fan of rock music, but with all the poor rock albums coming out, this is actually a breath of fresh air.

When I heard Timbaland and Chris Cornell were working togheter, I didn't know what to make of it. One wanted to make a rock album and the other a hip-hop album. They both failed in their respective aspects. Does that mean there are no good songs? I enjoyed "Ground Zero", "Long Gone", "Scream" and a few others. Some songs are just a mess, "Part of Me" is a mess with awful repetitive lyrics. I'm not a fan of the songs playing into each other either, kind of too gimmicky. I respect Chris Cornell for taking the artistic chance but hope for a better album next time out.

J'aimais beaucoup Chris Cornell avant et j'attendais cet album avec impatience. Quand je l'ai finalement acheté (à la seconde où il est sorti), je n'en croyais pas mes oreilles tellement c'est différent de ce qu'il faisait avant. Je me suis pourtant mise à l'écouter et je suis totalement tombée en amour avec cet album, je n'écoute QUE CE DISQUE depuis qu'il est sorti, je ne me fatigue pas de l'entendre. Contrairement à l'autre commentaire, je trouve que les enchaînements entre les chansons est un élément qui ajoute encore à l'ensemble. Je n'aimais pas vraiment Timbaland avant mais là je crie au génie!

Superbe coup de foudre dès la première écoute. Chris Cornell ajoute du beat tout au long du disque ce qui donne une musique pop rock très radiophonique. Read more
