I found this product to be very narrow in substance and slanted more toward producing a book and very little else.
The price for this book is way out of line when compared with other like publications. $15-$20 USD would be more appropriate.
I could recommend it as an addendum or chapter addition to another book but not as a stand alone.
On a positive note, the graphic screen shots were very nice.
I found the examples of each step very helpful including the links to the various software that compliments the program.
The book itself is only 69 pages. Once you download and setup the free software, Alice and Gang Chen have you following the examples in their book to achieve exactly the same outcomes with your book design.
To sum up - I found the book easy to understand and expertly written.
Secondly as Scribus is open sourced, it provides a great platform for free DTP of Asian languages, It lis time we all started using Scribus and this book is an important milestone in this direction.
The color pictures used and the files for practice ad value to the text. A lot of good illustrations have been provided. I am sure you will like this book as I do, It is a very good investment
