From the Back Cover

"Don't touch," Mom said. "I think it's a dead seal." But Kyle lifted one more handful of seaweed. "It has an ear," he said. "It looks like a dog." "Poor dog," Mom said. "It must have drowned in the storm last night." Kyle pulled away more seaweed. He uncovered the dog's face. "Its eyelid moved! It's alive!" Kyle found Treasure on the beach, but does that mean that the dog belongs to him?

5.0 out of 5 stars I would recommend Sept. 6 2007

This story is about a dog that washes up on the beach. A kid named Kyle finds the dog and takes it home. He names her Treasure. Later on in the story, a man named Captain Bill tells Kyle Treasure belongs to him and her name is Otter. He tells Kyle the story about how he lost her at sea. Captain Bill gives Otter to Kyle, but Kyle gives her back because Captain Bill is lonely. Captain Bill is happy, but he wants to share the dog with his new friend Kyle. He gets an idea that allows both of them to enjoy Otter. This is a great story. My favorite part is when Kyle saves the dog. I also like the illustrations in the story. They are cool. I would recommend "Sea Dog" to my friends. I am lending my book to my brother to read.

This book is a very nice book to read, because it is touching and interesting to listen to. The book Sea Dog is very short. I did not like it for 5 stars because it is only about 60-70 pages and I am used to 200-300 pages but overall it was a great book!
