Product Description

From Amazon

Picking up where The Vanishings left off, Second Chance is just that: at the close of book one, Judd, Vicki, Lionel, and Ryan met up at New Hope Village Church and got the Good News from now-humbled pastor Bruce Barnes (who, despite his degree from Bible college, got left behind after the Rapture for failing to receive Christ, just like the kids). Lionel, nixed by the Messiah on a technicality in book one, jumps at the chance to join the winning team, but the other kids are too angry and confused after watching their world get turned upside down. Book two follows their search for truth as they piece together the wreckage of the Rapture in each of their lives, knowing full well that the end of the world isn't far off--just seven years, according to Bruce, once Israel signs a treaty with the Antichrist. By the book's end, two more Left Behind kids wise up, but one holds out, still too scared and mad to sign on.

The Evangelical Christian science fiction series Left Behind: The Kids is a youth-oriented story line based on Jerry B. Jenkins and Tim LaHaye's bestselling Left Behind. (Ages 9 to 12) --Paul Hughes

Book Description

This series is based on the best-selling adult Left Behind series. Readers will see the Rapture and Tribulation through the eyes of four kids who have been left behind.

3.0 out of 5 stars OK, but not the best, Jan 2 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Second Chance (Mass Market Paperback)
This is a book with great meaning, but honestly I think that it is not the best in the series. I really enjoy the series, but the first books are not the best. I encourage you to buy the 32 books in this series-and buy this one at a low price. I would like to tell you a little of what this book is about, so you will get an idea.
Four kids have been left behind. They are all alone, and wonder what to do. But will they accept God's second chance for them?

5.0 out of 5 stars Second Chances?, Oct 10 2003
This review is from: Second Chance (Mass Market Paperback)
With the disappearance of millions, including their families, Judd, Vicki, Lionel, and Ryan are left to make the most important decision of their lifetime, to accept Christ and recieve a second chance.
Judd and Vicki put off the decision to think about themseleves, their lives, their families, and just take in everything that has happened in the past 24 hours. After rescuing Judd's car from O'Hare, they return to Vicki's trailor park and discover that Vicki's home was robbed and burnt to the ground, leaving the clothes on her back the only thing she owns.
Meanwhile, Ryan becomes very emotional at the thought of his parents death, and that they aren't in heaven. Lionel chases after him and the two discover that Lionel's house has been taken by his uncle, Andre.
So, what will the four kids decide? Read this book to find out and learn more about the end times.

4.0 out of 5 stars Will Uncle Andre be ok, Oct 2 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Second Chance (Mass Market Paperback)
I thought overall this was a pretty good book. It was about 4 kids that get left behind on earth because of their lack of belief in God. In the book they try to figure out what really happened. The four kids parents and siblings disappeared. But however a priest was left behind to help them believe in God. Right now the four kids are staying at Judd's house. When the watch the news across oceans the antichrist threatening to dictate all who were left behind. All in all if you are a Christian kid you will love this series of 30 books.
