5.0 out of 5 stars She Wanted a Small Town Life, April 6 2010
By
Kelly Irish (PDX, Oregon) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: The Secret Years (Paperback)
Thirty-one-year-old Kate Daniels could have gotten millions from her rock star husband during their divorce, but she wanted only enough to buy a small hotel in Wolf Hill, Alberta. However, when she gets to Wolf Hill she finds that the town has been prejudiced against her by the tabloids and one biddy on the town council seems to be dead set against Kate getting a drinking license for her hotel. It seems all the biddies on the town counsel think their husbands will be home more if Kate doesn't get her license. Sadly, without that license her hotel won't be profitable and she's sunk all her money into it.

Nathan Cameron is a rancher whose family has lived in Wolf Hill for generations. He falls for Kate, but she isn't the kind of woman his family wants. Kate refuses to be dependent on a man ever again. Then Adam, the rock star, ex-husband, comes to town. He wants Kate back. Nathan declares himself, says he's willing to change. Kate has a decision to make, a hotel to run and a life to get on with. And then there is the diary of Ellen Livingston and secrets that have been hidden for generations and the part it plays in Kate's life.

Wow, this book has it all. I loved how the past reached out to the present. I loved Kate and how she is determined to be independent. I loved Nathan and you know, I even loved Adam. This is a wonderful romance, one that I'm sure you'll love too.
