Product Description

From AudioFile

This elaborately packaged offering uses enough paperboard for a doctoral thesis but instead yields six CDs of a rambling discussion by Renard. Essentially, the casual series of "sessions" examines key points of "A Course in Miracles," a channeled work, and adds detailed accounts of Renard's own personal spiritual experiences. Renard's Maine roots are showing--though he sounds comfortable in front of a microphone, words like "idears" sneak in now and then. But, in the spirit of forgiveness that is the heart of the course, let's just accept his friendly lectures as what they are--one man's helpful exposition of familiar, but useful, idears. I've read DU 5 times now, and ACIM once. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series of CD's, as they provide very practical applications of the oftimes difficult to grasp lessons of the Course. Thank you Gary, Pursah and Arten for yet another wonderful gift. PS... Contrary to his initial misgivings, Gary's voice is very pleasant to listen to.

I love this Secrets of the Immortal program, which is appropriately subtitled Advanced Teachings from A Course in Miracles, as it is VERY advanced stuff. If reading is not your thing, you can get in your Disappearance of the Universe/Your Immortal Reality/ACIM fix while driving, or upload the material to your digital device of choice, and listen while walking or running or what have you. There's about eight hours worth of material here so it'll keep you going for a while.

For me, I love this CD series so much that I have listened to this material too many times to count, as I went through a three period where I spent a good part of the day half-listening to them while sitting at my desk at work. No such thing as too much repetition when it comes to hearing the absolute truth about our existence.

Also, something Gary says on the first CD that inspired the sub-title for my book. He said that if you're ever going to write a book, make sure that it has a long sub-title because it'll make it look like you did a lot. So, I took Gary's advice to heart on that one. Giddy up!

I found these cds disappointing, because if you have, as I have read both his books, he basically reiterates, to the letter stories from the Disappearance of the Universe and Your Immortal Reality. I found these cds very expensive and not altogether useful. I wont be listening to them again. His books however, I will read and re-read!
If you want a quick reminder, I do recommend his CD Fearless Love as a quick refresher, where he gets to the good points quicky without all the in between stuff.
That being said, I loved his books, they introduced me to a whole new way of thinking, and I will give these cds away, and chalk it up to a forgiveness lesson. ;)

An all-encompassing CD set July 7 2006
By Esten Guerero - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
Like the book, "The Disappearance of the Universe" this 7 plus hour audio CD set is an all-emcompassing kind of presentation. If you've ever wondered about the "big questions" in life, like who am I? How did I get here? Where am I going? Why would God let people suffer? What is the purpose of life? How did the universe originate? How will the world end? What can I do now about all of this? You will find that, believe it or not, Gary Renard answers all of those questions, and in a very clear and undiluted manner. I was astounded by this. Gary is also a very likable speaker. You may not agree with everything or like it, or you may love it, but either way, you will be greatly effected by his work. The guy's got guts, great knowledge and wisdom, and combines it with a sense of humor. Highly recommended.

A Very Engaging Speaker July 6 2006
By Jacob Walsch - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
I think the speaker, who is a rising star on the spiritual horizon, does an extraordinary job of presenting complex spiritual principles in every day street language that anyone can understand. He's also quite funny, which is refresing, yet he never wavers from or compromises on the radical spirituality he's presenting. Don't kid yourself, most spiritualities and speakers do NOT present a program designed at actually breaking the cycle of birth and death. This writer and speaker really does, and doesn't back off a bit from what he's saying. And he's saying a lot. Once you hear these 7 hours (which is much more material than the abridged audio version of his first book, The Disappearance of the Universe, and should not be confused with that product) then you'll realize that most spiritualities actually bind you to the earth, where this kind of spirituality sets you free.

Miracles Make more sense than ever! July 25 2006
By M. Harper - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
Gary Renard is very easy and fun to listen to and makes sense of so many things that were so unclear before. The Course In Miracles has been around for a long time, however for me, I had so many questions that I wasn't getting the message as clearly as I would have liked. Listening to these CD's has made the "Course" much more real and understandable. I now feel as though I can apply the principles that Gary describes very easily.. I can use this in my life now.... and I am inspired to do "The Course In Miracles" again! Wow there can be and end to Reincarnation and I have the power to end my own!!!!!

A Spiritual tour de force June 23 2006
By Sarah Billings - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
"Secrets of the Immortal" by Gary Renard is a spiritual tour de force from one of the most interesting spiritual speakers working today. Having seen Renard present a workshop I was looking forward to being able to listen to some of his teachings repeatedly in order to get them on a deeper level. I wasn't disappointed by this 7 plus hour audio CD set. I felt like Renard was talking just to me. He presents the teachings of A Course in Miracles in such a way that actually makes the Course understandable. I know of no one else who does that. He also includes teachings from Buddhism, The Gospel of Thomas and other disciplines. The result is often profound, but the CDs also reveal Renard's great sense of humor. Of all the audio CDs available it would be hard to think of any other that covers as much ground and teaches the listener as much in such a short period of time as "Secrets of the Immortal."

Get into the FAST Lane ! Jumpstart your journey. Dec 8 2006
By pattiruth - Published on Amazon.com

I've read Gary's two books, & have been fortunate to have also heard him him in person twice this year. Gary's message opens the Course in Miracles. Gary presents his story with examples of personal experience, with humor, humility, leaving us with a roadmap that is approachable, healing, and simple, if not easy. Gary writes as he speaks, and he speaks on the CD's as he speaks in person. Gary is not an actor or an academic. He is an excellent presenter & speaker, and coming from this regular guy, his message strikes home. This CD set include learnings & stories included elsewhere in his works,& MORE. Wait till you hear CDs 5 & 6! After CDs 5 & 6 in this set, I bought extra sets to share with friends.
