The only way that those with power in the world - governments, media barons, mega corporations, the religious, medical and scientific institutions - stay in control is by keeping secrets from and lying to everyone else. Secrets and Lies gives you the chance to discover the most explosive, fascinating and scary things that certain people want you kept in the dark on. Now you have a chance to rip apart the web of deception you have been caught up in.

5.0 out of 5 stars Shocking. In an important way., May 6 2006
By
This review is from: Secrets and Lies (Hardcover)
There's no soft way to say it. This book shocked me deeply. There's so much stuff that we're not being told -- heck, that we're being deliberately lied to about -- by just about everyone. The author of this book has done what few people have the nerve to do, and given details of all sorts of important things that we just don't know about.

You heard of "War Plan Red"? That's America's basic strategy for freakin' invading _US_ -- and watch out Winnipeg, 'cos you guys are the first on the hit list if it goes down! Not that I'd be far behind, apparently.

This book is _FULL_ of secrets, hushed-up scandals, bare-faced lies and all sorts of other horrible manipulation, and it all has hard facts, so you can cross-check it. The guy is a really good writer too, it's as easy to read as it is mind-blowing.

If you have even a little bit of an open mind, and don't want to just be a slave for the rich and privileged, you _NEED_ to get this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good intro to all things secret, Mar 14 2011
By Reade Rogers - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Secrets and Lies (Hardcover)
This is a great "primer" of all things secret. Contains very concise overviews of secret/censored subjects. Lots of diverse material is covered in a very straight-forward, non speculative maner. Good jumping off point for other research and a brilliant way to introduce friends to the rabbit hole.

You'll read things you never heard about before! It is about government coverups and using false pretenses to going to war! It is a must read!
