I loved this book,
This is a must read for anyone wants to make changes in their life large or small
Davidji explains meditation techniques in a very open fun informative way.
I can just hear his sweet voice speaking these words as I read.
This man is multi-talented and has so much to offer
I have been listening to his meditations for a while but reading a book about his own personal journey,which is quite
the journey,was an amazing experience.
This book has made me respect him even more as well as reinforced my own choices in my own Yoga practice.

I love this book, thank you davidji! :) I have to say that this may be the best book I have ever read. It is one of the books I will keep and cherish in my small personal library to refer and re-read again and again. It certainly gives a clear and full explanation of many kinds of meditation. It takes you through examples and you experience meditation with different exercises. It is well written from the heart, easy to understand and delves into many different kinds of forms of meditation. davidji is my guru for meditation!

First and foremost, I was diagnosed with a panic disorder seven years ago. I struggled for years to find peace, but nothing that I tried had worked. I saw several psychologists and clinically licensed social workers regularly and nothing that they said or did helped me in any way. Finally, I found a psychologist who practiced present moment awareness, daily meditation and yoga; this person pointed me in the direction of listening to podcasts from the Chopra Center and that is how I discovered davidji. Immediately, the meditations started to make me feel calm and relaxed. Eventually, I did the Chopra Center 21 Day Meditation Challenge (which consisted of a mix of instructors guiding the meditation, but mainly it was lead by davidji). Slowly, I started to think about the way that I had been living, I questioned who I was and I got in touch with my authentic self. I really can't explain what happened, but I started to have more compassion in my life and I changed how I approached everything. The meditations allowed me to evaluate myself more closely and to see some things about myself that were uncomfortable, but that needed to be changed. And then I called into davidji's radio show on Hay House radio and had the pleasure of speaking to him and soon after, I received personalized copy of this book. The Secrets of Meditation: A Guide to Inner Peace and Personal Transformation allowed me to learn more about davidji's personal journey, which was fascinating and his relationship with meditation and present moment awareness. Now that I have been meditating daily for several months, I am happy to say that my anxiety has dissipated almost entirely, and when I do feel anxious, instead of fighting it, I now incorporate the breathing techniques that I learned in this book and I have learned how to just be aware of how I feel and to get through it without letting my mind run away with itself. This book taught me that I can meditate anywhere!! Even when people are around!! You have to read it to find out how.

Even if you don't have anxiety, this book will break through the myths of meditation (like assuming that one must sit in an uncomfortable position in order to meditate, or that it takes up too much time) and will help you in all aspects of your life. From relieving stress, to really taking a look at who you are and finding your purpose. Something that really resonated with me is that davidji chose happiness and well being over the "sleepwalking" in life that most of us seem to do in the Western world. Years ago, I never would have believed that meditation could change my life and this book and davidji's meditations have made a huge difference. I've even become a more compassionate, friendlier person because I now think before I act. Thank you davidji for having the courage to take a risk, change your life, search for stillness and then in turn, help others. And thank you so much for the book, I love it. And the Peaches "The Buddha Princess" card that you put in the book is adorable. The most important thing that I took away from this book is that the power to be at peace in the present moment was always within me, I just needed a little guidance in order to find it.

Well DavidJi gets all five stars from me for this great book. I stayed up late so I could start reading it as soon as Amazon downloaded it unto my IPad.(it was worth the wait) Then I stayed awake most of the night enjoying my copy of his book, I just did not want to put it down. David is so informative and at the same time playful.
I recommend SECRETS OF MEDITATION to everyone, you will not regret it and it could change your life as mine has changed when I started to listen to his guided meditations.

The first thing that called my attention when I received this book and started leafing through it was a comment most readers will miss: "The author donates all proceeds from this book to charity". How would you not want to read a book whose author is so caring and giving? It showed me that every page of this book is filled with hearty advice and a genuine desire to help the reader achieve a state of deep meditation and understand the benefits of this ancient practice.

The language is easy to follow, davidji is down to earth, engaging, and guides the readers in a very interesting path highlighting different types of meditation techniques and what to expect from each of the meditation styles. He tells his own story about his spiritual journey and illustrates it with many examples on how he achieved his proficiency in meditation.

It is the first time I read davidji and I'm hooked! It's not easy to follow a book about meditation, it becomes dull and boring at times, however, this book is exciting and inspiring! It's a great read and will really prompt you to try meditation. You can choose one that fits you better from the different kinds described in this volume: bodymind, visual, sound, energy, sensory, Buddhist, mantra and chanting meditation. Each is described in detail and each chapter explores the best technique on how to practice them, with very helpful hints and encouragement.

At the end of the book, davidji explores the myths around meditation and demystifies some beliefs about its practice, with accessible and easy to understand questions and answers.

This is a great book for those who want to start exploring the benefits of meditation and also for those who have been already practicing it. If you're serious about understanding what meditation is and how it can transform you, don't miss this jewel of inspiration and guidance to a better lifestyle!
